Luann de Lesseps, also known as “The Countess” is getting a divorce, after her husband confessed to falling in love with another woman, the New York Post is reporting.
De Lesseps was supposedly blindsided by the news, and only learned after she couldn’t get ahold of him after one of his frequent trips to Europe.
“Luann was blindsided. She was just devastated,” the Post quotes a pal as saying. “They have basically lived apart for many years — he lives in Europe and comes and goes as he pleases, but she never thought this would happen.”
The couple have two children together.

Reality Update 
I’m sorry to hear of Luann’s divorce. It’s not shocking since he spent so much time away from his family. A man is a man.
I am not surprised to see that the countess has indeed been left for another woman. Isn’t this her husband’s pattern? I never expect an old dog to learn new tricks, I just expect that the dog handlers to stop acting shocked when they are bitten.
I hate to hear that for LuAnn, I refuse to call her the Countess, especially with her pending separation. I some what saw it coming because he was NEVER at home, and she could never reach him. They were obviously living separate lives.
I never like to see a marriage end. Especially for her children sake, but maybe Ms. LuAnn will be a bit more humble as well now, because clearly she can see that it can happen to ANYone.
Does this mean she will no longer be a Countess?
I am glad that her Husbad, is in love with someone else, because she is a snob. Her and and Kelly, are the same.
I’m sorry to hear about Luann’s divorce. it really makes it worse when things are so public.
It doesnt make a difference how much time he spent away from his family he made a vow to be a husband full time not just when it was conveinent for him. If he didnt want to be together he should have been honest with Luann. Comming from a person who has been in this type of situation my heart goes out to Louann & her children.
